Rayong is a popular destination on the eastern coast of Thailand, located 220 km from Bangkok. The city of Rayong is a large city featuring industrial centres, including the oil industry, but outside and beyond the city there are pristine beaches and many old as well as brand new resorts and hotels.

Famed for miles of white sandy beaches Rayong makes for a great quick getaway for Bangkokians who find the brashness of Pattaya a little too hectic and the islands of Trat a step too far for a weekend.

Visitors can choose to seclude themselves on a quiet bay on one of Rayong’s paradise islands including the world renowned Koh Samed, or stick around the mainland beaches where they can easily access a selection of excellent golf courses, exciting enough nightlife, quality restaurants and many attractive tourist sites.
